Heavenly Bodies on AnyPS5

Windows is in game on a single community self-report (Heavenly Bodies, PPSA04246, content 01.006.004, AnyPS5 main 7ab4b2e). Played in game with a DualSense: picture, audio and controller input work. Starts at about 60 FPS and settles around 35 FPS in gameplay at 1920×1080. Current blocker on main: a crash at the first mission load (1 of 3 played runs; 5 of 10 unattended runs on main 53a0a27) — an access violation on a Unity thread over corrupted heap data, or once "unsupported PM4 packet type: header 0x00000000". Not checked: play past the first mission, saving, Linux, or NVIDIA/Intel GPUs. This title is not in the official table. Build source is main — the cited play used unmodified main 7ab4b2e with no pull requests or local changes on top; the crash was reproduced again on main 53a0a27 from a fresh conversion. 7ab4b2e is unreleased main, newer than v0.1.3; an official zip may stop earlier. In game on that cited main commit is not a Playable claim. A single self-report is not an official-table row. Linux: no report in the cited thread.

  • Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26200 / AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (AMD proprietary driver 26.10.1) / Ryzen 7 5800X3D / GCC 15.2.0 (WinLibs 15.2.0posix-14.0.0-ucrt-r7) (discussion #8931, 21 Oct 2026): Heavenly Bodies PPSA04246 content 01.006.004 on AnyPS5 main 7ab4b2e, no pull requests or local changes on top. Played in game with a DualSense: picture, audio and controller input work. Output 1920×1080. Starts at about 60 FPS and settles around 35 FPS in gameplay. Logged run (empty shader cache, about 155 s, closed by the reporter): 418–600 presents per 10 s early on, then a steady 330–360. Per frame the GPU is busy about 6.7 ms with about 20 ms idle gaps; the title is bound by the queue-0 draw committer on the CPU (#7895): about 200,000 DRAW_INDEX_2 packets per 10 s at about 33 us each. Only 157 graphics and 4 compute pipelines were built. Unmodified main, not a release zip. Single community self-report. In game ≠ Playable.
  • Same host and thread: Unity title; eboot.bin and its 16 .prx files (sce_module, Media/Modules, Media/Plugins) are SELF containers, unwrapped with tools/unwrap_self.py first. Relinked with relinker --windows --registry --sce-module-path app0 --module-dir Media/Modules --module-dir Media/Plugins app0/eboot.bin app.exe. --module-dir is a relinker flag, not a game patch. tools/import_audit.py (with --modules for each of the three folders) reports 0 absent imports and 38 throwing stubs (sceAjm*, NpCppWebApi iterators, sceSystemServiceLoadExec). No APS5_* variables are needed to play; the measured run used APS5_PROFILE_DRAW=1 APS5_PROFILE_GPU=1 APS5_LOG_TIMESTAMPS=1 APS5_TRACE_SUMMARY_EVERY=10. Default in-game settings.
  • Crash at the first mission load on main: one of three played runs, and 5 of 10 unattended runs into the mission on main 53a0a27 with APS5_TRACE_FLUSH=1 APS5_TRACE_MEMORY=1, end in an access violation on a Unity thread (AssetGarbageCollectorHelper, Loading.PreloadManager, Gfx Task Executor) over corrupted heap data, or once in unsupported PM4 packet type: header 0x00000000 in a command buffer that was overwritten. Cause named: pending storage-image results of memory the game unmapped are stored later over the new heap it maps at the same addresses. The report names #8932 as a fix (0 crashes in 10 runs with it). When it loads, the game plays without crashing. This page cites plain main, not #8932.
  • The reporter wrote that conversion, log reading and this report were prepared with AI assistance (Claude Code); the in-game result (FPS, picture, audio) was observed by the reporter. Any images in that thread are the reporter's, not captures from this site.

Blocked

  • Crash at the first mission load on main (discussion #8931). 1 of 3 played runs, and 5 of 10 unattended 45 s runs into the mission on main 53a0a27 (cross every 2 s through APS5_PAD_INPUT_FILE after one warm-up), end in an access violation on a Unity thread (AssetGarbageCollectorHelper, Loading.PreloadManager, Gfx Task Executor) over corrupted heap data, or once unsupported PM4 packet type: header 0x00000000. The report names #8932 as a fix. This page cites plain main 7ab4b2e / 53a0a27, not that fix.
  • Not checked in the cited report: play past the first mission, completion, saving, Linux, or NVIDIA/Intel GPUs. In-game picture, audio and DualSense were observed; later missions were not.
