Superliminal on AnyPS5

Windows is in game — New Game intro and the first room, with the stick tutorial, looking around and walking, audio, keyboard and mouse, and HDR — at 59.9 FPS (steady over runs of 3.5 to 7 minutes) on main 81cb86339 plus #7603 (Windows 11 Pro / Ryzen 9 9950X3D / RTX 5090), with no blocker seen up to the first room and play past that room not checked; Linux and macOS were not checked. #7603 has since merged (20 Oct 2026) and is not in v0.1.3. Cited commit 81cb86339 (18 Oct) predates v0.1.3 (3fd1cc393b, 20 Oct). The cited furthest in-game used a patched stack (main plus one PR). No cited run tested the official release zip. Whether the current official release zip matches this report is unknown, so an official zip may stop earlier. This title is not in the official table. Build source is patched — the cited furthest in-game used main 81cb86339 plus #7603, not a release zip. In game on that cited patched stack is not a Playable claim. A single self-report is not an official-table row.

Windows in game — the main menu (New Game, Options, Extra Modes, Credits) renders correctly; New Game plays the intro and starts the first room; the stick tutorial is shown, and looking around and walking work. Input was driven with APS5_PAD_INPUT_FILE. 59.9 FPS in the menu, the intro and the first room, steady over runs of 3.5 to 7 minutes. HDR output on an HDR display; the picture looks right on screen. Audio, keyboard and mouse work as intended. 81cb86339 predates v0.1.3. #7603 has since merged (20 Oct 2026) and is not in v0.1.3. Single community self-report. In game ≠ Playable.
  • Same host and thread: no NotImplemented stop, no crash and no unresolved import on those runs. tools/import_audit.py: 0 absent imports and 40 stubs (AJM, AGC markers and capture, AudioIn, WebBrowserDialog cookies, sceNpTrophy2GetRewardIcon, __tls_get_addr); none of the stubs was called. Log lines: sceSysmoduleLoadModule unknown id: 295 (the title carries on), and two shader library prebuild skipped: DescriptorBindingBuilder::Populate multisampled array image resources have no descriptor image shape at startup.
  • Same Windows host and thread: relinked with relinker --windows --sce-module-path source --module-dir Media/Modules --module-dir Media/Plugins source/eboot.bin superliminal.exe. eboot.bin and all modules are plain ELF. Modules from sce_module, Media/Modules (Il2CppUserAssemblies.prx, PS5Util.prx) and Media/Plugins (FMOD, Resonance Audio, PSN and save data plugins) converted with the same build. --module-dir and --sce-module-path are relinker flags, not a game patch. No extra title patch file is named as required. No APS5_* settings were named as required to reach the first room besides APS5_PAD_INPUT_FILE for the scripted stick input.

Blocked

  • Current blocker named in discussion #7697: none seen up to the first room. Play past that room was not checked.
  • Historical (same 19 Oct 2026 report): one run with Media/Plugins still holding modules converted by an older build crashed 4 s in, in libfmod.prx.guest.prx (0xc0000005). Converting those plugins with the same build fixed it. Without --module-dir Media/Modules the title stops at once: Failed to load module: ...\libs\Il2CppUserAssemblies.prx, GetLastError: 126.
  • Not checked in the cited report: play past the first room, Extra Modes, full-game completion, save or save reload, Linux, or macOS. In game through the first room is not a Playable claim.

Unknown

  • Official-table membership. This title is a community report (official: false), not a tested-compatibility table row.
  • Whether the current official release zip matches this report.
  • Linux. No cited Linux session of this title in discussion #7697.
  • macOS. No cited macOS session of this title in discussion #7697.
  • Save or save reload. No cited report tests it.
  • Network or online play. No cited report tests it.
  • AMD or Intel GPU in-game reports. The cited Windows host is RTX 5090 only.
  • Whether #7603 changes this title. The reporter does not expect the coherent dwordx2-store change to matter; the cited run still used it.
  • Play past the first room, Extra Modes, or completion.
